For so many years, he was lovingly placed on the family Christmas tree and then carefully packaged for the next year, but this time was different! I was born many moons ago and got used to moving at an early age. My dad was a football coach so I enjoyed living in a couple of places in Ohio, New York and North Carolina….where I remain today.

Like many people, I have worn many hats in my life. I graduated in early childhood education and taught school until I had my first child (a daughter) and then two and a half years later, I had my son! I always laughed at the term “stay at home mom” as I was never at home! I preferred the term “full time mom”! During the years I was raising my children I also taught Sunday school, volunteered in almost every capacity at my children’s school and had a few businesses I ran out of my home. I sold stationary, wedding invitations and birth announcements and almost everyone I knew was getting married or having babies so it worked out well! I also helped start a gift box company, Boxed Occasions, with my dear friend.  I am now working as a voice over actor. [Please Visit My Website]

But the best hat of all has been that of “Peggles”…yes, no “grandma” for me. Peggles was a college nick name and it just stuck! I have three grandchildren that are the loves of my life . . . Tanner, Harper and Crew.

I always wanted to write a children’s book but never seemed to have the time to give to that endeavor. Once my grandchildren were born, the idea popped back into my mind and with my daughter, Whitney Lee Christensen, asking me the question, “Where do the forgotten ornaments go”… My inspiration was triggered and my first book was born.
